COCONUT MATCHA DRINK

Ingredients:

  • 2 g Japanese tea Matcha Asagiri
  • 250 ml of water, ice
  • coconut milk according to taste (we recommend Aroy-D or Real Thai)
  • coconut sugar (optional)

COCONUT MATCHA DRINK

Are you feeling the effects of rainy autumn weather and would you like to transfer to an exotic paradise for a moment? Feel the smell and taste of coconut and fine Matcha tea? We have prepared a recipe for this refreshing and at the same time nutritious drink for you. It’s a real treat!

How to do it?

  1. Put the required amount of matcha tea into GoodGlass, pour over some water at 80°C and shake well to create a form of a consistent mass.
  2. Sweeten with coconut sugar according to your taste. Yummy!
  3. Add the rest of the water at room temperature and ice cubes.
  4. At the end pour well-stirred coconut milk and serve immediately. Enjoy!

What is Matcha?
Matcha tea is grown in Japan by a special process that ensures its unique sweet taste and wide health benefits. Tea leaves are shadowed for up to a month before harvest, creating much more chlorophyll, which is responsible for the bright green color. In addition, the plant becomes more delicate and contains more nutrients and amino acids.

After maturing the finest leaves are hand-picked, steamed, dried and finally crushed to a fine powder called Matcha. The whole process from planting the seed to harvesting can take up to 7 years!

And why is Matcha so unique?
Matcha tea has a wide range of uses. It can be used not only for delicious cold or hot drinks but also as a supplement to desserts, chocolate or ice cream, giving them a fresh green color and light tea flavor.

Regular drinking of Matcha tea has a positive effect not only on our physical health, it also reduces stress, increases alertness and concentration and calms the mind. Matcha also has high antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, acts in hematopoiesis and lowers blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. Simply a universal helper! THAI ICED TEA

Ingredients:

  • quality black tea
  • a mixture of spices (2 cloves, 1 star anise, 1 cardamom, vanilla)
  • hot water
  • coconut milk
  • few ice cubes
  • date syrup or cane sugar (optional)

THAI ICED TEA

You don’t have to go to Thailand to enjoy homemade Thai iced tea! Just a few ingredients and you can feel exotic even at home. Thai people use condensed milk. But we replaced it with coconut milk, which is not only vegan but as well is not as heavy and sweet. You can use cane sugar or date syrup for sweetening!⁠

And how to do it?⁠

  1. Put high-quality black loose tea in the large part of the filter and close it with the smaller part of the filter.⁠
  2. Put the spice mixture straight in GoodGlass.⁠
  3. Place the filter into the GoodGlass, pour over boiling water and let stand approximately for 8-10 minutes. ⁠
  4. Then remove the filter and allow the infusion to cool in the refrigerator.⁠
  5. Just before serving, add a few ice cubes and pour coconut milk according to taste. Fantasy!

REFRESHING MELON FRESH

Ingredients:

  • 300 g ripe watermelon
  • 2 – 3 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 spoon lemon juice
  • honey / cane sugar (optional)
  • few ice cubes
  • Martini dry (optional)

Summer is on the peak of its warmest days and you are searching for the refreshment? Melon fresh is simple to prepare and yet so perfect! In addition, GoodGlass keeps it cool for a long time, so don’t worry that it will get warm soon. Here we go!⁠

  1. Cut the chilled watermelon into smaller pieces and remove the seeds.
  2. Place it into a blender together with a few mint leaves and a spoon of lemon juice and blend.
  3. For sweetening, try adding honey or cane sugar.
  4. Dilute with water according to your taste.
  5. Pour into GoodGlass, add a few ice cubes and that’s it! Enjoy!

TIP: To create a great summer drink add a few drops of Martini dry!

Spring is in full swing and we have prepared for you a tip for a real boost that we have fallen in love with! Just as everything begins to wake up, we begin to feel the flood of new fresh energy. This season of new beginnings is perfect for thorough cleansing, not only of the household, relationships and of our own mind, but above all of our body that has been resting during the long winter. I mean who has never felt the need for a spring detoxification and reboot? Boost yourself, summer is coming!

Do you know green foods?

Our mind and body tend to clean itself, and we unconsciously seek out food and supplements that help us to do so. Now during spring, it’s mainly the various green foods like young nettle, spinach, parsley, bear garlic (from which you can make excellent pesto) and other herbs, grasses and wild plants. Green foods contain the chlorophyll pigment, which is basically concentrated sunlight, a wide range of minerals, amino acids, antioxidants and other substances that help us clean our body while nourishing and providing it with energy. 

However, today’s world is hectic and sometimes we can’t enjoy these delicacies in sufficient quantities. In this case, we can use the help of various so-called superfoods, such as green algae (chlorella and spirulina), or young green grass (barley and wheat) in concentrated amounts. We at GoodGlass have recently focused on young green barley – not only because it tastes so fresh and feels more natural for us, but it is also “stuffed” with nutrients!

What are the benefits of green barley?

Green barley is actually the dried juice of young barley green shoots which is full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and other nutrients. Simply everything a small plant needs to grow into a large and powerful plant! It’s strengthening our body, providing it with energy and contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system. Due to the large amount of antioxidants and chlorophyll, barley has strong detoxifying effects. It cleanse, regenerate and reduces the acidity of our body and protects it from the emergence of many civilization diseases and premature aging. Such a small big helper!

How to prepare and use green barley?

Preparation of this healthy elixir is very simple – just mix one teaspoon of green powder with water. The amount depends on the taste. We recommend to fill GoodGlass with water up to two-thirds in order to provide sufficient space for shaking and insert a filter to ensure good mixing. Then just shake for 10 seconds and the drink is ready! And when to use this miracle? Preferably in the morning on an empty stomach, so that all nutrients can be absorbed as efficiently as possible. We can also drink it during the day, whenever we feel tired.

What to think about when choosing young barley?

The young barley has an excellent quality – it binds heavy metals to itself and carry them away from the body. It is therefore important that it grows in clean soil so we don’t take in any undesirable substances. Fortunately, today there are many companies that carefully monitor the quality of their products and test each lot. We tested green barley from our local Raw & Bio store Vitalvibe and the international company Green Ways – both get their barley from clean soils in Utah, where there are ideal conditions. We dare to say that both products are of sufficient quality and have a great taste. Try this elixir of health too!
